This filly was one of our top picks of book 2 being a neat type with a deep girth.

She is a stunning filly who has loads of scope and looks quite racy. Furthermore, appears to be very versatile, looking like an early sprinting type just like her sire but with the scope to get over the mile plus just like her dam and brother.

Cosmic Force by Deep Field is a second season sire who stands at Newgate Farm and his progeny have been in hot demand at both the Magic Millions Gold Coast and NZ Bloodstock’s Karaka yearling sales. He was best remembered for winning the Pago Pago Group 2 by over 7 lengths with James McDonald commenting;

Clarify by Danehill Express was Listed placed over 2500m and a multiple city winner. She won from 1500-2500m and has produced Yatholing, a 6 time winner in Macau. In the 3rd Dam you have Princess Plume who has produced 3 black-type performers from 8 to the races including Visual Displays who was a listed winner and has produced a 7-time winner Kaleido.

Trainer: BRETT CAVANOUGH

Brett was born into the racing industry, riding trackwork at the age of 12 before school for his grandfather Frank Cavanough, also a mentor for one of Victoria’s best trainers, Peter Moody.

At 15, Brett left school to work for Queensland trainers Jim McCormack and Barry Baldwin (trainer of the 2006 Stradbroke Handicap winner La Montagna) and also learned the delicate craft of breaking in horses.

At 18, Brett was keen to try his hand at training, but the raw young man thought he should explore his options.

In 1998, Brett considered himself ready to return to racing.

Since, he has won eleven Southern District Racing Association trainers’ premierships as well as most of the Southern District Racing Association Country Cups.

Brett has won the title of New South Wales leading country trainer on 5 occasions (2007, 2008, 2010, 2018 & 2019) defeating the likes of Paul Perry, Kris Lees and Barbara Joseph. He has also finished sixth in the NSW trainers title behind the likes of Gai Waterhouse, John Hawkes and Guy Walter, an amazing achievement for an Albury-based trainer at the time.

Brett’s success is based on the simple principles of hard work and professionalism that come from growing up in outback Queensland before emerging as Australia’s leading sheep shearer.

Brett leaves nothing to chance, having a superb support staff and after serving a long apprenticeship, he is reaping the rewards of many years of hard work.
