Social Outcast was well placed, dropping back in grade at the Gold Coast and looking to bounce back from his last start.
From an awkward gate, Brandon Lerena punched forward early to find a position in the wider pair, one off the fence. Approaching the 600m he hit his customary flat spot and was worked into the race rounding the bend. Once balanced in the straight he let down strongly and proved tough, digging deep to score by a narrow margin.
Very well trained by Mathew Dunn, with whom we are building a great association, and a top ride from Brandon.
Congratulations to his loyal and patient owners.
