Savvy Spy made the perfect start to his career with a strong debut win over 1500m today at Kembla Grange.
While we knew he would take natural improvement from the run and as he steps up in distance but we were confident he’d run well today. From a wide gate he jumped fairly and was caught deep, but Zac Wadick kept him comfortable on the pace while he was still learning his craft. Hitting the front early in the straight, he showed great determination to hold them off to the line. 💪
A massive thank you to Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing, jockey Zac Wadick, and Bruce Slade from Kestrel Thoroughbreds.
Congratulations and thank you to his terrific group of patient owners who have a very promising middle-distance prospect on their hands!
