Just prior to the halfway mark of the 2025/2026 racing season, we have already surpassed the results achieved during the entirety of the 2024/2025 season – with plenty more still to come.
From 55 starters so far this season, we have recorded 16 winners and a further 11 placings, delivering a 29% winning strike rate and an impressive 49% top three strike rate.
For comparison, at the same stage last season our first 55 runners produced 11 winners and 13 placings, equating to a 20% winning strike rate and a 43% top three strike rate. While a 20% strike rate is considered above industry average, a 29% strike rate firmly places our results well above benchmark and underscores the performance driven model we strive for at Group One Thoroughbreds.
Our winners this season have been spread across a broad range of tracks, from Wagga to Randwick and Doomben, highlighting success at all levels. Importantly, this performance has been achieved across a range of purchase prices. Our most expensive winner was secured for $80,000, with the average cost of our winning horses approximately $30,000 as yearlings – well below the market average and a strong endorsement of our selection process, pedigree analysis and refined racing systems.
While racing naturally presents its share of challenges, we are extremely proud of how our horses are performing and how consistently they are delivering results. None of this success is possible without the ongoing support of our owners, and we extend a sincere thank you to each and every one of them.
