FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO I NEED TO OWN AN EXPENSIVE HORSE TO WIN BIG RACES?
The belief the more you pay for the horse the better the results and the faster it will run. Above all, the price paid for a horse does not indicate how many races it will win. Group One thoroughbreds has been involved in many horses that have returned more than 10 times the initial share price.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO TRAIN MY HORSE?

This monthly charges depend if your trainer is a city, provincial or country trainer.

All suppliers’ costs, trainer, spelling, vets and floating etc will be charged dollar for dollar payable in arrears. The average weekly costs to maintain the racehorse for every 2.5% is $30 (City), $25 (Provinical) and $20 (Country) per week.

HOW DO I GET PAID MY PRIZE MONEY?
Prize money your racehorse receives also gets paid directly to your nominated bank account. We do not take any of your prize money unlike the majority of other syndicators.
DOES MY NAME APPEAR ON THE RACE BOOK?

Under Racing Australia rules only 20 names can appear in the race book regardless, if you take a 5% share or more your name will appear. We will endeavour to get as many 2.5% owners in the race book as possible.

DO I GET TO NAME MY HORSE?

Yes! Each owner gets to submit a name suggestion for voting. Once all submissions are in, we put the names to a vote. The three most popular names, in order, are then submitted to Racing Australia.

HOW OFTEN DO I RECEIVE UPDATES?

We endeavour to keep our owners informed through every stage of the racehorse ownership journey. While your horse is spelling or in pre-training, updates are provided fortnightly. Once your horse is in full work with their trainer, updates are weekly. We use a wide range of media — including videos, photos, audio, and written reports — to keep you fully informed.

CAN I SEE MY RACEHORSE?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to privately view your racehorse whether they are spelling, in pre-training, or in full work with their trainer. Race days and trial mornings are also open for owners to attend. In addition, we host a number of farm visits, stable mornings, and other events where your racehorse may be in attendance.
