COMBINING PHYSIQUE WITH FLUENT ATHLETIC MOVEMENT, COMMANDING PRESENCE THAT CATCHES THE EYE
This filly was rated exceptionally high for us on type and was, without question, our standout filly of the sale. She is strong, and powerful individual with a commanding presence that immediately catches the eye. Her conformation is excellent, and she combines her physique with fluent, athletic movement, giving every indication of quality and soundness.
From a pedigree perspective, she is very well related, being out of a Group 1-winning mare who is herself a half-sister to another Group 1 winner, adding significant depth and proven performance to her page. She is a scopey filly with the frame to continue developing and strengthening as she matures. On what she shows physically and in her movement, we expect her to comfortably run out a mile in time, with the potential to progress further as she furnishes and gains racing experience.
Her sire, Brutal, is a dual Group 1 winner of the Doncaster Mile and Champagne Stakes. He was an outstanding 2-year-old and 3-year-old, Group 1 placed at two, by Champion Sire O’Reilly from an elite New Zealand family.
Her dam, Leading The Way, is a Group 1 winner and dual Group 1 placegetter with three career wins, including two as a 2-year-old. She has produced 10 foals to race for 9 winners and has already produced a stakes-winning colt.
She will be trained by Bjorn Baker, who trains from state-of-the-art stables at Warwick Farm in Sydney. He is a multiple Group 1-winning trainer with success across Australia, renowned for producing fast, fit and forward horses, with an outstanding strike rate with juveniles.
Our Brutal filly has passed 100% clean on her x-rays, scope and clinical examination.
