Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott have been in partnership since 2016. They have been a dominating force in the Australian thoroughbred industry ever since. The story of Tulloch lodge began in 1941 when TJ Smith, Gai's father, received his training licence.

During the next fifty years, Tulloch Lodge produced some of the best horses ever to run in Australia, including the legendary Kingston Town and Tulloch. In 1992, TJ handed the reins to his daughter Gai, who has become a racing sensation in her own right and has steered Tulloch Lodge to new heights in the 21st Century.

Following in her father's footsteps, Gai has trained 160 Group 1 winners, including 8 Golden Slippers. To date, Gai & Adrian have collectively trained 26 Group 1 Winners.

UK born and raised Annabel Neasham has been involved with horses since her early days of eventing and showjumping. Arriving in 2016 to Australia, she started working for Gai Waterhouse before making her way up to leading Ciaron Maher's Sydney Stable.

Annabel has continuously delivered impressive results in the early years of her career, achieving 10 x Group 1 wins, 16 Group 2 wins, 7 Group 3 Wins and 23 listed wins so far in her 4 years of training. She has recently partnered with Rob Archibald to continue to deliver big results and to maintain their expansive operation which covers Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

After a triumphant career in the saddle, the time was right for Chris Munce to transition into a new role…. Training thoroughbred racehorses. Fuelled by a profound love for the horses, the decision to guide them in their early days as yearlings, to seasoned racehorses became Chris's calling.

The journey from Jockey to Trainer represents more than a mere change in profession, it embodies a passion for nurturing and witnessing the evolution of equine potential. Chris stands at the helm of Munce Racing, with his son Corey recently added to the training ranks. Together they run a dual stable operation on the Gold Coast and their main base of Eagle Farm.

Brad Widdup is situated in the growing Hawkesbury in the brand new state of the art stable that backs up to the racecourse. He has a fantastic CV of over 30 years in the industry under the likes of Peter Snowden and John O'Shea while working under the prestigious Godolphin Banner.

In his first season as a trainer, he had a runner in the Gold Coast 2yo Magic Millions and the Golden Slipper which itself is an impressive feat. Brad trained and purchased Group 1 Sensation Icebath who was sold as a broodmare for $2.3 Million after being a $100,000 yearling purchase. This sale funded the construction for his state of the art stables and other projects making it one of the most advanced in sydney.

Kristen Buchanan is proof that you don't need to be based in the city to have regular metropolitan winners. She has had success in town with the likes of Two Blue, Lucky Liaison and Echo Effect just to name a few. In recent times Kristen has been given the label "The Midway Queen" astutely targeting the Midway trainer only events.

At Buchanan racing they understand no two horses are alike. They pride themselves on being a boutique stable that takes a "tailor made" approach to your horse's individual needs. Including exercise, feeding, handling and educational requirements.

Cody Morgan began his professional racing career apprenticed to Craig Martin where he outrode his country claim. He continued his career under the careful tutelage of Tony McEvoy at "Lindsay Park" in the Barossa Valley SA. During this time Cody Morgan was given the opportunity to ride some talented gallopers, none more so than Fields of Omagh during his 2003 Cox Plate Campaign.

He prides himself on the ability to present every horse in an immaculate condition on race day. That, coupled with his patience in placing each horse in its most suited races, has proven a great combination in having a winning strike rate upwards of 20% for the last 10 years.

Brett has won the title of New South Wales leading country trainer on 6 occasions (2007, 2008, 2010, 2018, 2019 & 2024) defeating the likes of Paul Perry, Kris Lees and Barbara Joseph. He has also finished sixth in the NSW trainers title behind the likes of Gai Waterhouse and John Hawkes.

Brett leaves nothing to chance, having a superb support staff and after serving a long apprenticeship, he is reaping the rewards of many years of hard work. With his stable of smart horses combined with an exciting crop of up and comers, the future looks bright for Brett Cavanough Racing stables.

With a career spanning 30 years, Matt Dunn and his team have built a formidable reputation with over 1,200 wins including 10 Group and Listed wins. Based at Murwillumbah on the NSW/QLD border, the stable is ideally located to take full advantage of regional and metropolitan racing from Sydney to Brisbane and everywhere in between.

Their complex has the capacity for 80 horses with a full range of facilities including three full tracks of the Tweed River Jockey Club just down the road. Working with both syndicates and private owners, the stable is committed to training each thoroughbred in a hassle free yet professional environment, with the skilled team dedicated to ensuring your horses reaches its full potential.

Todd Smart has built a boutique stable in Canberra defined by care, consistency, and results. Based at the well-equipped Thoroughbred Park training complex, Todd combines a hands-on approach with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every horse receives the tailored preparation it needs to thrive. Todd Smart Racing is driven by a simple philosophy: place horses to advantage, develop them patiently, and always do what's right by the animal. It's an approach that has delivered results across both NSW and ACT, with regular success in TAB Highways, Country Cups, and feature races on the country circuit. With a smaller team, communication and owner engagement are a core part of Todd's stable culture. Whether it's morning trackwork, raceday feedback or progress updates, owners are always kept informed, involved, and valued as part of the journey.
